BOBZILLA

BandRockBlues

We'll hit you with good old Texas Bar Boogie... Then take you on a trip back to the "old school" days of Chicago's smoke-filled nightclubs and after hours city life. Plus... We'll give you a taste of Woodstock AND powerhouse arena rock to turn you every which way but loose.

Biography

One of our first gigs as a band went down at a tragically hip nightclub in Dallas that caters to the twenty-something crowd. This was an open mic night and we had the opening slot in front of a very downtrodden singer/songwriter, a heavy alternative band (sort of a Nirvana meets Slayer kind of a vibe), and then some sort of bizarre eclectic "string quartet" playing all new music. It was a pretty strange gumbo already and we were kickin' it all off with our mix of Texas Blues & Rock original music and ROCKIN' classic cover tunes for our 40-minutes of mayhem.

We watched the twenty-somethings give us the evil eye as they walked into the bar. After all, the age range in this band is early 30's to early 50's and we were ALL wondering what we could learn from each other that night?

We took the stage and in our usual style KICKED ASS for the entire set, barely pausing in between tunes. From our own "Under the Angry Moon" to Hendrix's "Fire" to The Who's "Summertime Blues" to Buddy Guy's "Messin' with the Kid." We were a hard act to follow and I really felt sorry for the singer/songwriter who came out with his acoustic guitar right after us - dust still falling after we shook it loose from the light fixtures above the stage.

Everyone had a blast and we were really surprised at the positive reaction we got from a very young audience.

Our smokin' guitar licks shred blues greats like Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B. B. King, and many more... PLUS be ready to groove to renditions of classic rock heavy weights like Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and George Thorogood & the Destroyers... AND many brand new original tunes.

A rock solid groove from our rhythm section gives our music a powerful edge...

Strong keyboards and vocals support our rock-solid groove rounding out our blues/rock attack...

UNDER THE ANGRY MOON

Written By: Bob "Bobzilla" Chochola

I've reached a turning point
A bitter-sweet crossroad
The young man I left behind
The old man comin' to steal my soul
Watch the whole world
Turn faster and faster each day
I feel the blues comin'
down the road
I can't get out of the way
I'm Under the Angry Moon
It follows me every night
If you don't rescue me
I'll be Under the Angry Moon
'Til I die

I've walked these lonely streets
With anger in my heart
I've seen love conquer evil
I've had love tear me apart
Can't hide what I'm feelin'
"Til you're here to stay
I feel the blues comin'
down the road
I'm Under the Angry Moon
It follows me every night
If you don't rescue me
I'll be Under the Angry Moon
'Til I die

TIME

Written By: Bob "Bobzilla" Chochola

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
I look in the mirror
What's starin' back at me?
Reflections of Time
Slippin' away from me

Too late to turn back
I've walked the last mile
Too late to turn back
I've walked the last mile
Gaze into that cold spell
And dream for a while

I look at the future
From behind these cold eyes
I stare at the future
Behind this disquise
Time waits for no one
There's no compromise

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
I look in the mirror
What's starin' back at me?
Reflections of Time
Slippin' away from me

Too late to turn back
I've walked the last mile
Too late to turn back
I've walked the last mile
Gaze into that cold spell
And dream for a while

CLAM DIGGER

Written By: Bob "Bobzilla" Chochola

You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
Diggin' it every night

Diggin' clams can be pretty hard
Can't just find 'em in your backyard
You walk the beach
With a bright blue pail
Siftin' sand with your painted nails

I said,
You're so clever
You're so keen
Butr there just ain't nothin'
In between

You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
Diggin' it every night

Diggin' clams you're like all the rest
Scorin' clams with the very best
There ain't nothin'
That you won't do to find
A clam to come home with you

I said,
You're so special
You're so shy
You're just one of the
Other Guys

You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
You're a Clam Digger baby
Diggin' it every night
