"Rick Alan West, Production Mngr."

"I really related to the message in Clam Digger. Downright bar boogie." - Clear Channel Radio-Tulsa

"Steve Hill, Writer/Producer"

"I was very impressed by the sound and song selection. You guys have definitely come a long way since I saw you last about a year ago." - CBS TV

"Brian Gagnon"

"They played together for the first time at G & L Just-a-Jam 2002 with none other than the remarkable Will Ray of The Hellecasters sitting in on the session... and rocked the house for hours, drawing a bigger crowd than that Dallas night club had ever seen." - G & L Just-a-Jam Organizer

"Cameron Smith, Host of Smooth Jazz TV"

"The blues guitarist from hell!" - President of Center Stage Television

"David Young"

"Your Flying Saucer performance was awesome! In the few months since I last saw [you] perform you went from "pretty darn good" to "Wow!" Your cover of "Road House Blues" was inspired!...
Bob and Kevin proved once again that they can drive the band with the visceral rhythm of a locomotive on a long downhill grade! Congratulations on your first CD release!" - CBS TV

"Chris Denley"

"Bobzilla... Enjoyed the Flying Saucer gig immensely, it was a lot of fun despite the temperature. Thanks for the invitation to come up and jam... Keep up the great bass playing. Considering the terrible acoustics, you and [Kevin] sounded particularly good..." - Guest Guitar Player

"Mike Price"

"...the band has achieved a spontaneous and organic sound, while utilizing a set of technologies that serve most commonly to capture a colder and more regimented signal. It's all in the warmth of the performance and the engineering, of course, and this set of performances is uniformly vital."

Bio

One of our first gigs as a band went down at a tragically hip nightclub in Dallas that caters to the twenty-something crowd. This was an open mic night and we had the opening slot in front of a very downtrodden singer/songwriter, a heavy alternative band (sort of a Nirvana meets Slayer kind of a vibe), and then some sort of bizarre eclectic "string quartet" playing all new music. It was a pretty strange gumbo already and we were kickin' it all off with our mix of Texas Blues & Rock original music and ROCKIN' classic cover tunes for our 40-minutes of mayhem.

We watched the twenty-somethings give us the evil eye as they walked into the bar. After all, the age range in this band is early 30's to early 50's and we were ALL wondering what we could learn from each other that night?

We took the stage and in our usual style KICKED ASS for the entire set, barely pausing in between tunes. From our own "Under the Angry Moon" to Hendrix's "Fire" to The Who's "Summertime Blues" to Buddy Guy's "Messin' with the Kid." We were a hard act to follow and I really felt sorry for the singer/songwriter who came out with his acoustic guitar right after us - dust still falling after we shook it loose from the light fixtures above the stage.

Everyone had a blast and we were really surprised at the positive reaction we got from a very young audience.

Our smokin' guitar licks shred blues greats like Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B. B. King, and many more... PLUS be ready to groove to renditions of classic rock heavy weights like Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and George Thorogood & the Destroyers... AND many brand new original tunes.

A rock solid groove from our rhythm section gives our music a powerful edge...

Strong keyboards and vocals support our rock-solid groove rounding out our blues/rock attack...
