Bo Carter

My name is Bo Carter and I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Lake Jackson, TX. At the age of 11, I got my first guitar. I played every free chance I could find. My guitar went everywhere with me. I began to write songs in the 7th grade, and became obsessed with playing and writing. My obsession continued through high school, and the summer going into my senior year, I decided to attend a college that would focus on my musical ability. So one month after I turned 17, I moved to a town 8 hours away from home called Levelland, TX. Levelland is home to South Plains College, a college with a great music program where I could learn and grow.After leaving South Plains I joined a couple of great Texas music bands. In 2001, I began playing in a band called Rodger Wilko. After that and a few bands later, I joined a band called Highspeed Hayride. While in Highspeed Hayride, the band and I started working on my solo project entitled Reality. Reality is a project that I am very proud of and that project was the beginning of the Bo Carter Band.The CD Reality was nominated for 2 awards at the 2010 Texas Music Awards. Reality was nominated for producer and male vocalist of the year. It was an honor to be nominated on my first record, and I look forward to where I go from here.
