Bodhicitta

"Bodhicitta" (Bow-Dee-Cheeta) is a band based out of the North Chicago area. Their hard hitting
blend of Funk, Rock, and Fusion leads to a unique sound that creates intricate original compositions
with experimental rhythms, energetic feel-good dance grooves and exciting, improvised, face-melting
jams. Bodhicitta brings a high-energy, improv heavy show that leaves audiences eager for the next.
Capturing the ears of live music-goers regionally and nationally, their fanbase continues to grow
considerably, and the band has established a reputation as one of the premiere acts in the
Midwestern “Jam Scene”.
Members of the band have collaborated and performed with some of the industry’s elite musicians.
Members of the band consistently tour and perform side gigs with the critically acclaimed Joe
Marcinek Band, and have been members of Milwaukee’s Charles Walker Band, touring, performing
live on Chicago’s WGN, and winning the 2013 WAMI [Wisconsin Area Music Industry] award for Best
Funk/RnB/Soul Band. Members have collaborated with Tom Constantine (Grateful Dead), Marcus
Rezak (Shred Is Dead/Digital Tape Machine/Kweko/Phil & Friends), Kofi Baker (son of legendary
Ginger Baker of Cream), Frank Russell (Chicago Jazz legend), and have even performed live with
multi Grammy Award Winning Los Lobos!
