Bio

Body Electric is a rock band from Vacaville, CA that was formed in the early 2000’s when childhood friends Daniel “Elvis” Espinoza (vocals/guitar) and Tony Ricker (lead guitar) met current members Derek Diesen (drums) and Robbie Electric (bass). Espinoza and Ricker had spent time trying out other musicians for their band, however, upon meeting Diesen and Electric, it quickly became apparent that these two were extremely gifted musicians and perfect compliments to their musical style. Espinoza and Ricker were instantly impressed and knew that they had finally found the members they needed to complete their four-piece rock band, thus forming Body Electric.

Drawing from a wide range of influences such as The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and local heroes Papa Roach, Body Electric’s music can best be described as a cross between Lost Prophets, Hoobastank, and The Foo Fighters. Producing radio-friendly songs, Body Electric’s music features a solid rock foundation, with upbeat melodies, and catchy hooks. Espinoza’s lyrics add another dimension to the listening experience, creating songs that are relatable to any listener regardless of age or sex.

With years of experience under their belt, Body Electric provides a concert experience that is nothing short of professional and rivals many national acts, delivering an explosive and energetic performance sure to hype the crowd. As a result, the group has enjoyed regional success across California performing for thousands at large scale events such as Van’s Warped Tour, and sharing the stage with bands like The Ataris, Hawthorne Heights, Bowling for Soup, My American Heart, Tesla, and more. From this success, the band has drawn a large local fan base, as well as, attention from multiple record labels.

After considering a number of offers, the group chose to work with Brian Wheat, of Tesla, who has spent the last few years developing them and producing their new record. The album is currently being mixed by Terry Thomas and will be released on Wheat’s label, J Street Music Group, later this year.
