""It's in the Cards" - Bohemian Sunrise"

"Using world beats punctuated with jamband optimism and jazzy instrumentation, South Jersey-based Bohemian Sunrise creates songs of both musical and lyrical depth on its third full length CD, It's In The Cards.

While the songs certainly don't lack for length, they always retain focus, and more importantly, sincerity. The best of the lot are the Latin-laced "Something's Gotta Give", whose Santana echoes are distinct, and the melancholy "Kiss it all Goodbye" - a trippy track that tackles the inevitable process of growing up. With influences from Rusted Root to Jethro Tull, Bohemian Sunrise doesn't rely on ringing amps, pop hooks, or dopey cliches to carry out its musical message of blissful, jammy pop. Listeners are all the better for it." - Joe Student ~ Philly Edge

"'Intoxicating' Voted in the Top Ten"

"World Beats and sinewy rhythm and blues blend together to create a parking lot masterpiece. Those with an appetite for heavy drumming combined with jazzy interludes will relish this funky creation. Sounds and melodies to fill the head and warm the soul make up the world of Intoxicating." - An Honest Tune - Bill Whiting

"Static writer goes one on one with up-and-coming band"

"World influenced psychedelic music. The viewpoint of the band is that we don't really put boundaries...Percussion is a big part of our sound, so even our jazz has a world feel to it. We've gotten jazzier and more complex in our chord progressions and voicings as we go along...having six people, four of them being song writers, we always have new material to play." - Courier-Post - Robyn Weiss

"Bohemian Sunrise: intoxicating"

"With intoxicating, Bohemian Sunrise has created another extension in music's historical lines of percussive-heavy jambands. Whether it's Santana or Rusted Root or Bohemian Sunrise, there will always be a place on this earth for the music of the soul to unite all under the flag of island grooves, raw power of instrumentation, and strong sharing of musical ideas. Intoxicating is just that, and it will leave you smiling all the way to the next show." - An Honest Tune - Vol. 5 No. 1

"Bohemian Sunrise - Here Comes the Sun"

"...unity is certainly evident in their rich polyrhythmic and Latin-influenced danceable music...The latest disc promises much. The interspersing of tight songs and flowing improvisations is perfectly balanced. The nine-minute “JaPong” encompasses most of the band’s strengths and is a highlight of this polished 70-minute disc." - Relix Magazine

Still working on that hot first release.

Based in the Philadelphia/South Jersey region, Bohemian Sunrise takes their soulful, rhythmic sound to unprecedented levels through their creative instrumentation, insightful songwriting, and genre-transcending arrangements. Building their success through hard work and consistently winning over audiences at prime shows throughout their career, Bohemian Sunrise has earned the honor of sharing the stage with Rusted Root at Philadelphia's famous Electric Factory and again at the Union Transfer, and playing at The Tweeter Center on the Waterfront in Camden, NJ with the remaining members of The Grateful Dead and Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers, in addition to joining The Steve Miller Band at DE’s Frawley Stadium. Bohemian Sunrise has also gained a following in the clubs opening for headliners including Vince Welnick (The Grateful Dead and The Tubes), The String Cheese Incident, The Recipe, Jazz Mandolin Project, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Deep Banana Blackout, Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover, The Bomb Squad, and Vinyl at venues including the Theater of Living Arts (TLA),the Trocadero, and the Blockley Pourhouse in Philadelphia, NJ’s famous Stone Pony and Conduit, MD's Funk Box/8x10 Club and Recher Theater, and the legendary Stone Balloon in Delaware. The past few years, fans have been able to catch Bohemian Sunrise shows spanning the East coast.

Bohemian Sunrise diversifies their schedule by combining opening for national acts in larger venues with headlining venues like World Cafe Downstairs Live, North Star Bar, and The Stanhope House. To bring in the New Year, they sold out their New Year's SleepOver Shindig, one in a series of successful self-produced shows. Merchandising is also an integral part of this band’s business; their list of almost twenty items includes tops, stickers, and incense. Bohemian Sunrise has consistently proven their ability and broadened their elemental sound, to appeal to both long-standing and new fans. Unswerving dedication, effective networking, relevant opportunities, and comprehensive experience have helped to cultivate Bohemian Sunrise into the professional, talented force they have worked hard to become.

Bohemian Sunrise has independently released three full-length albums: 'Soulstice', 'intoxicating', and their current recording, 'It's in the Cards'. Their sophomore album, 'intoxicating', features tracks recorded live to over 200 fans at Indre Studios. An Honest Tune voted ‘intoxicating’ a Top Ten CD, saying, “World Beats and sinewy rhythm and blues blend together to create a parking lot masterpiece.” Their third album "It's in the Cards" (mixed by Kevin Joella at Fresh Tracks Studios and mastered by Masterwork Recording), was officially released with a large celebration at The World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Bohemian Sunrise has a pending release entitled "It Won't Be Long Now", scheduled to drop in early September. Recorded at Human Studios by Blue Eagle, this recording captures the essence of what Bohemian Sunrise had evolved into. True Philly soul, with a world twist.
