Feeling a bit camera shy

bojones is not the name of a single person, but rather the name of a play-on-words tribute to one of rock’s greatest bands, Aerosmith. Their music, however, transcends a simple classification and challenges the fans of numerous genres. So to take a chance, lend an ear and enjoy a refreshing new style of progressive blues-rock.
This trio consists of three distinct individuals whose pooled, collaborative talents form their unique sound: Nick Greer (piano, vocals), Chris Messina (guitar) and Louis Messina (drums).
As a child, Nick, who you would think is a classically trained pianist but has not had one lesson in his life, spent the majority of his time in hospitals fighting a childhood illness. The solace of music became both his escape and his source of strength. He has drawn from these experiences to pen much of bojones’ material and front the band vocally. Louis’ aggressive pounding of the skins and Chris’ uniquely texture and intricate guitar-work form the powerful backbone of bojones. As the sons of legendary concert promoter, Louis Messina, one could be easily swayed to believe that fraternal twins Louis and Chris have live music flowing through their veins. These three musicians formidably round out the cohesive unit that ultimately produces the ultimate traverse of progressive rock.
Even though the three members of bojones haven’t reached the age of twenty, they have already developed their own unique sound and style of rock n’ roll that is as complex and compelling as The Mars Volta and as soaring as Colplay. They have shared the stage with such bands as Jet, The Vines, Sammy Hagar, Three Doors Down and Los Lonely Boys.
These youthful voices are being heard. All one has to do is participate in one of their engaging performances to understand the true meaning of bojones.
