The Dutch indierock duo Bombay Show Pig is formed by guitarist Mathias Janmaat and drummer Linda van Leeuwen.
The two musicians from The Hague and Amsterdam surprised many with there own view on indie music in the tradition of Yeah Yeah Yeah's, The Kills and Death From Above 1979.
After releasing their first EP 'Baby, It's A Face' (produced by Tjeerd Bomhof), they toured around Holland, Belgium and The Balkans and the single 'Curve Ball' got picked up by Dutch radiostations 3FM (3VOOR12 Radio) and Kink FM.
This year the band underwent a change of direction by going from a trio to a duo, taking on the lead vocals themselves and writing a set of completely new songs for their debutalbum.
They've recorded this album with producer Simon Akkermans (C-mon and Kypski) at creative breeding ground Kytopia in Utrecht.
In december they've travelled to NYC to mix the record with Eli Janney (Girls Against Boys), who, among others, worked with The Rapture, Holy Fuck, Ryan Adams and Hooverphonic.
The CD will be released early 2012 after which they'll be touring again with a whole new live-set to be debuted at Noorderslag 2012.
