We're reviving some old features, and with that, we give you Bombs & Candy, the first of many new bands to be In Our Spotlight.

Bombs & Candy are Matt Molten, Erik Freeman, and Anthony Delgado. Coming out of Fresno, California, the new sound they present will captivate you, with catchy hooks, infectious grooves, and haunting colors.

Bombs & Candy is the unmistakable writing team of Matt Molten and Erik Freeman with the infectious grooves of Anthony Delgado driving the band. These guys hail from Fresno, CA. This new sound will captivate its listeners with catchy hooks, infectious grooves, haunting colors. The band writes about current and relevant subject matter that pertains to most people. This includes government abuses, the meth epidemic, loss of personal direction, and more.

They are currently finishing up there debut album “Let the Road Crumble” to be released by late summer 2011. Currently they have released there debut single/ music video “Take My Money” . This song is based of the current political/economic climate in the U.S and most of the world. It shows how history seems to be repeating its self and we as people should be aware of it. The single is currently being aired in many college and internet radio stations through out the U.S. and the U.K.

They are also being featured on many music blogs such as: the Music 411 Blog and My Indie Nation . These guys are making a big buzz around the indie scene. A nation wide college tour is the works. Bombs and Candy is coming to a university near you !!!

Freeman began playing classical piano at the age of six. In his teens he performed in R&B groups. By his late teens he turned his focus on guitar and rock styles. He later joined up with a funk and soul band" The Hump Band "as the key player. This is where he met writing partner Matt Molten. Freeman has put out several original tracks of music as writer, producer, and /or recording engineer. He released his first solo album as Sepia Tone in 2005 entitled "The Pieces Within" and was mentored by Warner Bros. Music division. He later started the bands Color Red, and The Blooming Hands

Molten began playing wood winds and brass instruments in his youth, but later graduated to the bass after being disheartened by public school music programs. He then concentrated on song writing and being a master of the low end. He has performed through out the U.S and has been a session player on many recordings. He has gained notoriety for his virtuoso abilities on the bass and his musical comedy act. He is also a music educator who shares his passion of the bass with the all who seek it.

Delgado is the youngest of seven siblings all who played music. He started learning piano at age 8, and then committed himself to the drums at the age of 14. In high school Anthony focused on marching and jazz band where he was given two awards for outstanding musicianship at the Reno Jazz Festival. By 16 he began playing and recording in local bands in Fresno and around California. In college, attending Fresno City College and CSU Fresno, Anthony continued his education in music by studying under local Jazz Masters: Andre Bush, Mike Dana, Larry Honda, and Sean Corsaro. Anthony continues his passion for music today by performing with original and cover bands and local colleges.
