Bio

Bill Bogan was born in Evansville Indiana, and according to his mom started playing the pots and pans around the house as soon as he could hold his spoon. Like most singers and musicians, BIll got his start playing in church. He grew up in a church that had drums, and played them every chance he got. When he was in 7th grade, his parents bought him his first drum set. He would put on records by country greats (The Oak Ridge Boys, Porter Wagner, being among them.) While in high school, Bills musical taste began to broaden as he played more styles of music such as jazz, rock and orchestral music. When he moved on to college, Bill realized what he wanted to do with his life after going on a week long tour with his college choir. After leaving college, Bill joined the regional southern gospel group "The Gospel Sounds." THe group traveled every Thursday through Monday traveling across the midwest playing festivals, churches and other events. After leaving the Gospel Sounds, Bill did some studio work in the southern Indiana area. Later he began attending the mega church Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh Indiana. There Bill was the lead percussionist and played every week. The church choir toured once a year, and did several live TV performances. He was heavily relied upon for leading the band with his rhythm and style of playing. Bill played there for 5 years, and decided he wanted to get back on the road. He joined the band "Ernie Couch and Revival." He has traveled with EC & R for two years now. Bill also plays for country music new comer Troy Wykle, as well as sitting in with many Nashville artists in town. He has played in 40 of the 50 states, and visited Canada and Mexico. His love for being on the road, and playing music makes him a great band member.
