Bio
Bongo Brains is an experienced band, who after they’ve been playing behind several renowned artists such as Papa Dee and Joseph Beckford decided to go their own way. Since the reggae tradition was well rooted (no punt intended) in the hearts of the members, it came as no surprise that such very grooves spawned during rehersals.
The songs came to life from jamsessions where the players got to add their own personal flavour to the sound. Hence the birth of the Bongo Brains own spicy hot cookin’ stew in which many different rootstyles and musical eras can be found and recognized, although in a new manner with a fresh sound.
When Swedish folk singer and icon Stefan Sundstrom took on the lead vocals something happened that can only be described as shere magic! They decided to make an album together and hit the roads to face a starving audience and voodoospell them back to the roots of contemporary music. It’s easy for everyone to find something to like in this groovy, hot relentless rockreggae act, that steams of rock, soul, blues and reggae!
Bongo Brains will relaese their debut album on June 17th and then tour Sweden. But they are eager to put their spell on you too, so further plans to pursue a major tour are in the making.
