Bonner Black

Bonner Black may have very well redefined what it means to be 17-years-old. While your average teenage girl’s thoughts are focused on material things, Black is well on her way to accomplishing more at her young age than most do in a lifetime. Formerly an aspiring professional ballerina that attended the prestigious American Ballet theatre in New York City, Black began teaching herself guitar at the young age of 13. Singing around the house for fun, it took meeting vocal coach Jami Wigginton in Nashville before she began to take her real potential seriously. Currently turning the heads of label executives, Black spends her time co-writing with hit songwriters in Nashville along with playing frequently at legendary venues such as The Bluebird Cafe, The Listening Room, the Commodore Grille and Hotel Indigo. Black has been known to write songs single handed, that are well beyond her years and is very active in the crusade to end online piracy. Black frequently travels to Washington D.C. to meet with congressman and senators with NSAI’s CEO, Bart Herbison, to share her passion in preserving the rights of hardworking songwriters in Nashville and beyond.
