Bio

Bonnie started studying music at age four and wrote her first songs when she was 10 years old. She went to New York's High School of Performing Arts and Juilliard School for acting, and got a Master's degree in creative writing from the Iowa Writers' Workshop before finally setting her sights on a music career when she moved to Berlin in 1992. After touring extensively for several years, she went on a Merkabah meditation weekend in Germany and began a spiritual journey that utterly changed her songwriting. In 2003 she went to Los Angeles to record an album with world-class musicians, including Jim Cox (Ringo Starr, Mark Knopfler), Greg Liesz (Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow) and Dan Higgins (Vonda Shepard), among others. But before she could finish the recording, a long-hoped-for dream came true: Bonnie became a mother. After a few years' break to bring up her daughter, Bonnie completed the LA album - now titled "Spiral" - in Munich. In 2009 Bonnie moved back to the U.S. after 17 years abroad. She lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
