Who is Bonz?

BONZ was born September 11, 1983 in Hartsville, South Carolina. Surrounded by music all of his young life, he began singing at the tender age of 3 with his family in church. Inspired by music and his gift of singing, at the age of eleven, he and two of his friends decided to form their own R & B group, Perfect Attractions. The group performed locally throughout the city until Bonz graduated high school. While attending college in Denmark, S.C, a friend, S. Trap, invited Bonz to move to Atlanta, GA to advance his career in music. Bonz invited former member of Perfect Attractions and the three formed a group, Triple Platinum.

Shortly after arriving in Atlanta, Bonz was discovered and signed to SBG Entertainment in College Park, GA. When things didn’t progress, Bonz moved on and was introduced to Keith Sweat. In 2001, BONZ was featured on 2 songs on Keith Sweat’s album; one entitled”Don’t have me”, which also featured Dave Hollister. In the same year he met with Bubba Sparxx’s and was featured on his album’s title song, “Dark Day, Bright Night”. In 2002, BONZ signed to Montell Jordan’s label, The Enterprise. During his 2 years with the label, Bonz performed on tour with Jordan. The tour also consisted of travel abroad to places such as Saudi Arabia, performing for U.S. Troops. It was at this time Bonz received, a medal of honor for his performance from the U.S. Military. The tour continued with a 17-city tour in Germany for 2 ½ months.

Bonz album was completed after 2 years of being on the Enterprise label but was never released. BONZ is featured on three songs on Montell Jordan’s latest album, “Life After D.E.F.”

Bonz being a striver and filled with compassion to accomplish his goals he has set forth for himself, decided to form his own company, Struggle & Strive Records (SSR). Bonz has a motto, “. Through the struggle we strive to keep it moving.” It is this motto he bases his way of thinking along with his company’s progress.

Bonz is also working to form a movement known as North Atlanta Movement (NAM). Because of all he has experienced during his stay here in Atlanta, he is giving back to help other inspiring artists see their dreams transpire. It is through this movement he met and has joined with a new production company in Atlanta featuring several new upcoming artists, PaRock Productions.
