Boo Boo Cousins

Boo Boo Cousins is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer from the city of New York. Mr. Cousins has been making waves in New York and throughout the Northeast. Layering a unique blend of live instruments and cutting edge music technology, he has pioneered a sound all his own. His music can be described as an eclectic mix of soul, hip hop and rock. Equally comfortable onstage and in the recording studio, Mr. Cousins has always surrounded himself with a stellar lineup of musicians. In his recordings, he usual plays the role of singer and multi-instrumentalist.
He has had the opportunity to perform at various festivals, host music residencies as well as perform at various established venues throughout New York City. Venues that have included Joe's Pub, S.O.B's, The Remote Lounge, 92Y, Crash Mansion, CBGB's Gallery, Pace University, The Five Spot, Solomon's Porch, The Chocolate Monkey, Sputnik's and Southpaw. He has had the opportunity to accompany on guitar and vocals Grammy Award Artist Ladybug Mecca (Digable Planets) and noted musician/singer Brian Jackson (Gil Scott Heron).
With a new CD on the way entitled "A World Gone Mad" this music works in relation with a focus of the current events and views of the world with all its complexities. This CD will be his 5th independent release and he feels he gets a greater understanding with each one about life, himself and people in the world – "your art can teach you about your self and life. I know I've been fortunate to have had this type of experience". Other CD titles include "Say Something Beautiful", "Wet Heat", "Direct Sunlight" and "Laid Back Cool".
For him songwriting has also led him to producing music for creative artists and filmmakers, meeting a lot of wonderful people along the way in audiences and online.
