Boogie was raised in the hood with all its positive and negative aspects. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Boogie now resides in Norfolk, VA. Boogie's experiences have allowed him to become a talented narrator, who skillfully and yet easily depicts the intricacies and tribulations that every young man faces.
Boogie's lyrics go deep into the valley of loss and love which challenges the listener to listen to the words and just not nod to the beat.
Nottz (Soul Council/ Teamsta Ent) provides the classic Boom Bap beats that is a very important sound in the Hip Hop Culture.
Boogie was previously with the group DMP which featured Grammy Award winning producer Nottz. Boogie has ventured on as a solo artist and teamed back up with his producer, mentor Nottz. Their performance includes Nottz creating live beats on stage and Boogie performing over these beats featuring scratches from the Legendary DJ Bee (Philly2VA) of the Skratch Makaniks Crew.
