"What about M.E.?"

"Main Event sounds like World-weary but hopeful hip-hop, with a lyrical flow that alternates from the anger of Atmosphere to the optimism of Nas or Edan. The production on Main Event's new "Director's Cut" features rich soul and R&B samples, classic movie dialogue cuts and stark keys-and-beats rhythms." -Flint Journal - Flint Journal

"Hip Hop in Flint"

"Main Event and the members of his Rosta Records stable put a premium on presenting entertaining live shows - an unfortunate rarity in hip-hop - that have the energy and some of the unpredictability of a rock show" - Flint Journal

MAIN EVENT BIO

In the commonwealth society known to most simply as Kentucky, or the state with the horses, college basketball and country music cloud the nations perspective. However, for hip hop artist Main Event, Lexington, KY was not only home for the first 21 years of his life, it is where he developed his craft. Now, after residing in Michigan and traveling the U.S. he’s back to finish what he long ago started.

It might be easy for you to say you’ve never heard of Main Event, or M.E., or Supreme; see that’s just it. For years Main Event has traveled across the east and south coast performing and informing the masses under various aliases. He brings an electrifying energy, entices the audience with chants of truth then disappears as though he never existed. Michigan, Virginia, District of Columbia, New York, Georgia, Florida, Wisconsin, Iowa, the list goes on. Now for the first time he is present and tangible again delivering the message of freedom, justice and equality.

Although he has performed with the likes of Slum Village, Nappy Roots, MudKids, OneBeLo, Cunnin Lynguists, appeared at the Diversafest Music Festival & Hip Hop Film Festival, Main’s focus and agenda supersedes notoriety; which would explain his ability to act as a catalyst for great causes then vanish into thin air without requiring recognition.

On June 7th M.E. will release his junior independently released album entitled “Entered Apprentice”. Main Event’s music can be defined as progressive, controversial, refreshing, and enlightening; addressing social and political issues he feels are prevalent topics in today’s society. From the economic downfall to the hidden secrets of freemasonary, Main Event gets the word out, one verse at a time.
