Bio

Poised to expand on a rousing 2012, expressive soloist Books & Covers is to release his debut single ‘The Morning After’ on Monday 25th March 2013. The single will be released via independent label Kismet Arcade Records.

The alter ego of Samuel Thomas Wright, Books & Covers has trail blazed through 2012 with great aplomb. Support slots with Greg Holden and King Charles as well as extensive radio play on Amazing radio, has seen Sam has cut through with his 21st century indie folk and frank lyrics.

Blessed with model looks and a soulful voice, Books & Covers has recently finished a string of live dates including Newcastle, Huddersfield, before topping it off with a distinguished and acclaimed first show in Camden, London.

It’s Sam’s reflective and upfront tales of city life that has struck a cord with his burgeoning following, leading to blogs like yadontknow.wordpress.com to declare "Talent like Books & Covers needs to be recognised" and Amazing Radio DJ Charlie Ashcroft to testify:
"Delicately-crafted folk music, with the ability to surprise you with its subtle touches. Sam Wright's voice is a gem."

Big things are expected from Books & Covers in 2013. ‘The Morning After’ a poignant take on urban nightlife, perfectly showcases Sam’s innate ability to tell a story in a way that is both forthright and exquisite. The track has already been pushed to ‘track of the week’ on Amazing Radio and has received rave reviews from student radio such as Spark FM.

Recorded with fellow act Humanism and mixed/mastered by Steve Kitch (producer, The Pineapple Thief) the single will no doubt expose Sam to a greater audience who will be blown away by his tender lyrics and passionate live performance.
