Feeling a bit camera shy

The original Boom Jackson line-up started playing together in the summer of 2007. All four members had been friends for many years and this bond created an immediate musical chemistry when they plugged in for the first time. Jeremy had plied his trade in Dublin indie band NPB while Jamie had sang in Belfast rockers Los Cabras and James and Manel had played together while living in Barcelona.

The plan was simple: write some kick ass rock'n' roll songs then get out and play as many shows as possible.

The band spent six months writing and honing their sound before exploding onto the live scene in January; the shows came thick and fast and they have quickly built a reputation as one of the most exciting new bands in Dublin, getting support slots with international bands and playing the Bud Rising Festival.

Summer 2008 sees a line up change with Manel deciding to leave for Barcelona. He's being replaced by Chris Carroll ex DC Pakt.

There's going to be some writing, practicing and recording before Boom Jackson hit the stage again on 21st August in Whelan's supporting Canadian punks Fucked Up.
