Boon

Born and raised in the musically diverse city of Washington, DC, Boon has been influenced by all forms of music from Hip-Hop to classic rock to jazz. Some of his top musical influences include Artist such as Jay-Z and bands like Guns n Roses with touches of their past instrument selections showing up in his music as well.
Being a college degree holder, as well as having 7 years of experience in nightclub promoting, the daily grind of school, work, and partying shows up frequently in his lyrical content. His nightclubs experiences has also help him get and stay in contact with many major label artists, a&rs, managers, and djs. Alot of them have helped him along the way with both advice and "helping hands".
Official starting his music career in Oct 2011 with the release of his single "We Here Now", Boon was invited on tour as an opening act for Hip Hop artist Maino, traveling to 5 states and performing in 8 shows. He also was selected to DJ Esudd (2 Chainz's tour DJ) and DJ Teknikz's Street Exec: The Countown 23 mixtape which show case the newest music from major label artist only and was release digitally. In the spring of 2012 is release a new single and video "Hammertime" which climbed him to notable success and weekly club spins in DC and Baltimore along with paid hosting and performing gigs. The music video spent 10 week in daily rotation on regionally broadcast TV on the show "Grind TV".
After the summer of promoting Hammertime in the nightclubs, Boon decided to spin the rest of 2012 working on his new mixtape entitled Monuments & Memories Vol 1., with the leading single "Bron James" being schedule for audio and video release before Christmas. M&M Vol 1 is set to be released March 18th, 2013 with 14-16 tracks.
