Border Girl

Border Girl was born out of trying to avoid planning the perfect life versus living life. There was always something that pushed back Border Girl, being lack of time or equipment, trying to save money for a master's degree or marriage. But in the end, every aspect of Border Girl's Wilfrido Morales life was being managed like a project and this led to planning each minute of the day instead of enjoying every second.

After being fed up with Corporatewide Computer Systems a.k.a ERP's (Enterprise Resource Planning), the hitch of writting music began again. Yet being Border Girl became known for it's professional procastination levels while trying to ground ideas into songs.

It's been hard, trying to climb up the corporate ladder has left a huge muzzle and trying to reconnect with that part of yourself that jumpstarts internal voices had a tremedous self doubt effect that took a toll on several attempts on making songs.

I can't say I had a revelation that put me in the direction where everything became o.k. again and I felt 18 once more and could "write" 5 songs on a tuesday morning while watching t.v.

But it's been a constant battle and every song paves the way for one more, I guess I'm undergoing business rehab or life rehab, whatever you want to call it.

Discovering once again in your late 20's the things you use to love when money or power wasn't a necesary evil has been a nurturing experience which in my case, I'm trying to put on record in the form of music.
