Bio

Born Crain’s newest release ‘Identity’ demonstrates the versatility of an accomplished artist. Inspired by the first decade of his life, this latest album pays homage to the music from that era and tells the story of a true musician who’s come home.

Born Crain started his musical career, as a performer, back in 2004. His debut full-length album ‘Fools Rush In’ (2006)
went gold in Belgium, with 19.000 copies sold and delivering several hit singles. “Walking In The Sun”, “Good Times” and title track “Fools Rush In” topped the charts and the very popular balled “Don’t Ever Go” became the theme song of the prestigious TV-show “Aspe”.

The Belgian success of “Fools Rush In” proved a solid base for an international expansion. The album was successfully released in Japan in 2007 and sold over 50.000 copies overseas. Born Crain and his awesome band extensively toured the Benelux and throughout Japan in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka in 2007 and 2008.

In 2008 the single “Four Letter Word” was released and was an instant hit on all the major radio stations in Belgium. Born Crain’s second album “The Pleasure of Your Company” followed later that year, again generating massive airplay and sales. 2009 became yet another busy year of travelling and playing concerts.

His 3rd album “Anatomy”, which was released in November 2010 in Europe and Japan, was an artistic turning point
for Born Crain. After working with a renowned Belgian alternative producer, the album stands out showcasing songs that were not only written but also co-produced by Born.

In 2012, while living in “The Big Apple”, Born Crain recorded a number of covers and interpretations of pop songs, all related to the United States. Due to unexpected success and popular demand, these 19 songs were released on a “Born In The USA” album. It topped the online charts only hours after its release. But after this and many other side projects, Born felt the time was right for new music. Living and working in New York as well as the personal events that followed in his life were the inspiration for his fourth album “Identity”.

Born Crain was awarded with a ZaMu award for “Best Belgian Pop” and won the prestigious EBBA (European Boarders Breakers Award) in 2008 at the renowned MIDEM convention in Cannes, France. Over 150.000 people
own his albums, he toured the Billboard Live Clubs in Japan, played over 250 shows in Europe and appeared in hundreds of national TV-and radio shows in Belgium, Japan & The Netherlands.

After great support from college radio all across the US, Born and his awesome band can't wait to take the stage across the Atlantic. Why? Because they love it. And chances are you will too!
