Boston Molasses Disaster

BandRockJam

Their passion for music and onstage energy never fail to deliver an entertaining live show!

Biography

Boston Molasses Disaster has organically grown over the past few years as a group of friends that shared a passion for music. The band officially debuted in January 2008 with a stretch of successful winter shows. After parting ways with their keys player in April, BMD took a brief hiatus to reorganize and focus on some new music.

BMD is excited to get back on stage and deliver some more exhilarating live shows with their refreshed lineup and expanded arsenal of songs. Though their history is short, their onstage charisma and musical abilities prove that they have what it takes to stick around.

OnStage

Written By: Boston Molasses Disaster

The room is overcome in a could of smoke
And all these colors much too bright
There's people talking and people walking by
Still I can't look them in the eye

Stealing time in the spotlight of life
Where I should be feeling high
Still every stare in the room weighs heavily
Anxiously awaiting me

I'm feeling too incomplete
And I'm reeling to keep the ground on my feet

I can't hold still, but I hold my breath
Silence is all that is left
I got a sound caught in my throat
Yet I can't even hit the note

It's hard not to feel so paralyzed
My stomach turns with butterflies
Tensions rising and anticipation climbing
Everyone's waiting on me

I'm feeling too incomplete
And I'm reeling to keep the ground on my feet

Follow your eyes on down to the horizon
That's where I'll be waiting
Under a river of light from the moon
I would wait all night for you to take me home

From time to time I race across the Milky Way
Dancing so still on this bench I lay
And I am perched outside your window
'Cause you're the only one who can take me home

What would you be willing to give up
What would you be willing to trade
Would you give up your car or your house
Just to have it all your way
Would you give everything you got
If I gave you just what you want
Would that make your day

What would you be willing to give up
What would you be willing to part with
No matter what you choose
Inside you're still cold-hearted
You've sold all your friends in exchange
For an object with no name
Yet you don't feel any shame

I think it's wrong to get everything you want
It's just a sign of greed
Appreciate everything you got
'Cause all you really should get is all you really need

What would you be willing to give up
What would you sacrifice
Would you give up everything you love
In your life
Would you lose your sense of worth
And think of only yourself first
And let it all slip away

What would you be willing to give up
And when is it ever enough
All these things in your house you own
They're just a crutch
They may keep you warm at night
Or they may shed a little light
But you're still alone

I think it's wrong to get everything you want
It's just a sign of greed
Appreciate everything you got
'Cause all you really should get is all you really need
