Botanics have cemented themselves a place of their own in the Australian music scene, delivering a genuinely stylish and rare Roots Hip-hop sound that appeases the sense’s. Botanics have found themselves amidst a solid and growing fan base with the release of their debut album “Release the Peace”. This release followed by national touring and airplay, festival dates and numerous soundtrack releases for Fuel TV, Channel V and Surf DVD’s has laid solid foundations for what is to come.

Now readying themselves to bring their next dose of Botanics music to the people they have commenced the recording of a fresh LP with producer Nathan Cavaleri at Sydney’s Song Zu studios. Without giving too much away this new material will no doubt continue to etch a deeper groove in the Australian music landscape with a busy and very interesting 2008 scheduled ahead.

There is no doubting Botanics’ hip hop pedigree as these three young man have their roots well grounded and founded in the live music arena. Seeing Botanics perform live is where it’s at and a must for all music lovers. A combination of live instrumentation and two MC’s, their Roots Hip Hop style is unique and tasty.

Botanics shows are a deep affair performing tight live organic hip hop beats with jazz influences and timeless hooks. To road test a few of their new pieces Botanics are playing a select few shows leading up to the New Year.
