Bound to Change

Bound To Change has its roots as far back as 1995, when Justin Parrish and Todd Easler formed a band with the same name. From 1995 – 2000 Bound To Change went through several changes in personnel and style, and in 2000 the current line up of Justin Parrish, Patrick McDonough, Joe Corley, and Todd Easler was formed. Since then, Bound To Change has been steadily moving forward, gaining popularity, and perfecting its style as a rock band with punk, metal, and jazz influences. Over the last few years, they have seized several opportunities to play with a handful of up and coming Chicago acts, as well as open for national acts like The Urge, K’s Choice, Cold, and Local H.
Each of the members of the band contributes to the writing process and the band almost exclusively plays original music written by the band. Justin Parrish is the lead singer and guitar player. His ability to communicate with the audience through the lyrics of a song is unbeatable. Patrick McDonough’s work on guitar continues to be a trademark of the band. His unique and individual style often results in adding the one element that changes a song from average to exceptional. Joe Corley’s bass playing is a solid foundation from which the rest of the band can work. His on stage enthusiasm brings the audience in and takes the band’s stage performance to new and higher levels. Todd Easler on drums adds a hard rocking edge to the group. His rhythms keep the pulsing rock alive.

Bound To Change has found success in the suburban Chicago clubs playing to all ages and over 21 crowds alike. The band is currently in the studio completing work on their first full length album. This is a long awaited project for both the loyal fans of Bound To Change, and the band itself. Throughout the last five years, Bound To Change has enjoyed several great relationships with venues like Clearwater Theater and Chicago’s famed Metro, as well as with other bands. These relationships, coupled with hard work and dedication, are what will take this band to the next level. They are currently researching different record labels in order to find the best fit for the band, with a goal of courting these labels after the first of the year.

Pay close attention to this band, as only the first chapter has been written. There is a great tale of hard work and success that has yet to be written, but the story of Bound To Change is sure to be a best seller.
