T Riley & the Bourbon Rebels

T Riley (Teresa Riley) moved to Vancouver from her hometown Medicine Hat, Alberta to pursue a music career as a solo Alternative Rock artist. After making her initial album, a collaboration with Jesse Zubot (Zubot and Dawson, Drip Audio), She attended the VCC in the jazz music program as a voice major.  She met Ryan Guldemond (Mother Mother), and collaborated on her solo debut T Riley, which received some local radio play and good reviews.  Subsequently she released "Eat Your Heart Out" (produced by Wynston Hauschild) which again, garnered some good reviews and some radio attention, and placement on Canadian TV shows "Seeds" and "Scott and Tessa".

An avid dancer, T became obsessed with swing dancing and met many up’n coming Jazz musicians while out dancing, and the Bourbon Rebels were born.    T Riley and the Bourbon Rebels combine elements of jazz, roots, blues and whatever else inspires them at the time, with T Riley at the helm of the songwriting. After their inception only two years ago, they are making waves at local and international jazz festivals, most recently, the Guinness Cork International Jazzfest.

Playing Live is their forté, so they endeavoured to make as close to a "live off the floor" album, renting out a local hall and the band playing together, with only the vocals and horns overdubbed.

Accurately dubbed "THE REBEL SESSIONS", as they rebelliously combine and shift genres and play what they want, this is their debut album.
