The Fabulous Bowling For Soup celebrate their fourteenth birthday with a gift for their fans, the loaded with extra’s double-disc DVD and single disc live CD, Live and Very Attractive. Filmed and recorded in October 2007 at the Manchester Apollo Theater during the band’s SRO Get Happy Tour, the DVD/CD is an exceptional package capturing the Live Experience that BFS fans worldwide have been waiting for.

Of the historical significance of the DVD, BFS leader, Jaret Reddick, says. “I guess the idea for me has always been too big of a bull to tame…I mean, 14 years, 10 albums…girls, beer, vans, buses, fairs, hospitals…geez…how do you fit all of that into a two hour DVD? But then we listened…yes…listened to the fans…so here it is, the greatest live DVD ever filmed in the history of music!”

On Disc One, there’s the two hour concert performance, which features their Social D-like rendition of the Man in Black’s classic, “Ring of Fire,” and 14 more of the band’s biggest hits including, “Almost,” “High School Never Ends,” “Ohio (Come Back to Texas),” “The Bitch Song,” “Punk Rock 101,” “When We Die,” “Girl All the Bad Guys Want,” “I’m Gay,” and “1985.” And then there’s the other stuff…the funny stuff that BFS have become even more famous for…it’s all there with no holds barred…BFS at their riotous best…Backstage, On-Stage, In the Dressing Room, with the Fans, on the bus and more!

Disc Two, is really special as the viewer can watch the concert with Jaret, Erik, Chris and Gary. They’re like the annoying people at the theatre that talk all the way through the movie…it’s the complete concert with the band’s video commentary running through the entire performance. BFS critiques BFS. What were they thinking? Now you know! Disc Three is the CD version of the DVD. Bowling For Soup is the greatest band ever to emerge from the great state of Texas, hmmm, but they’ve recently adopted the UK as their homeland when earlier this year their fab-fans and readers, viewers, and listeners of the Kerrang rawk empire voted them #10 of the 100 Best Rock Bands Ever. Notably missing from the list altogether, ZZ Top. Hmmm.

Jaret Reddick formed Bowling for Soup in 1994 and today rounds out the band with guitarist Chris Burney, bassist Erik Chandler and drummer Gary Wiseman. Live And Very Attractive is the latest instant classic in a catalog that includes the world’s happiest albums, the 2005 compilation of TV- and movie-theme covers Bowling For Soup Goes To The Movies, 2004’s gold-certified A Hangover You Don’t Deserve, which earned them a Best Performance Pop Grammy nod for its single “Girl All The Bad Guys Want, and 2006’sThe Great Burrito Extortion Case.
