Boy And Bean was started by husband and wife team Luke and Amber Short in 2008 busking on the streets of Portland OR. They found an "And" in Andrew Jones (upright bassist) about a year later and found small Portland fame playing local clubs and numerous weddings in the area. They released their first album in April of 2011 completely funded by Kickstarter which is selling very well and growing in popularity. Boy And Bean continues to wow audiences with their unique arrangements of dusted off and seldom heard depression ere music. Their strongest influences seem to be The Boswell Sisters, The Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong.
