"I knew I wanted to do this when I was mad young, I was like 8 years old when I wrote my first verse." For years Boy Genius struggled to discover his true on stage persona, going through numerous names and images before discovering his true personality. "An old mentor of mine actually gave me my name and helped me discovered who I was when it came to music. I'd always use big words in my songs , like my vernacular was insane for a 14 year old. One day were in the studio and he I.D.s the song and he's like 'It's Venom [pause] and the one and only Boy Genius!' and from there we we're just like that's it right there that's my name." Since then Boy Genius has shared the stage with some of the Nation's hottest up and coming hip-hop stars such as Chris Webby at Clifton Park's Northern Lights, and Roscoe Dash at the Washington Avenue Armory located in the heart of Albany, NY.If you think we're a "gang", you just ain't on yet.
