Entering the stage dressed as Akira, an anime favorite of William Ramsey of Boys Vs Girls, takes hold of the audience’s attention at the EMPTY BOTTLE on 5/29. Noticeable tunes stemmed from Boys VS Girls previous EP Welcome to the Light show with pleasant and hilarious introductions about blow jobs, being equals, and being weird. William’s stage presence is so easy to vibe off of, the entire dance floor was his to command. The middle of the act was the most explosive when William jumped down and created a dance circle guided by Prince’s sweet sweet sounds. Owl Tree (also featured on Gamma Prince Selections No. 2) was a surprising addition to the set with a duo hip hop rap throw down. William then concluded his act with a very kind ovation to his fiancé and a spectacular rendition of We are the Goonies (previously featured on Gamma Prince selections No. 1). William sent off his goodbye kisses with a campfire-type acoustic circle which complimented the night so well. We’re looking forward to more Boys VS Girls shows, check out William’s soundcloud! - Gamma Prince

Bio
Equal parts hip-hop, punk, indie and pop--Boys V.S.Girls is the latest genre-defying project by openly queer artist William Ramsey. Boys V.S. Girls shows have been described as energetic, spontaneous, and a lot of fun! "I'm basically just a big dork who likes to jump around on stage like a 6 year-old on speed, and occasionally dress as Spider-Man and get people to dance," says Ramsey who is quickly making a name for himself throughout Chicago's indie scene.
Ramsey has played at various venues, such as: The Empty Bottle, Double Door, The Whistler, The Mutiny, Beat Kitchen, The Burlington, Elbo Room, The Store, Gallery Cabaret, and Velvet Lounge.
