BRACE THE FALL
SEE YOU AT THE BOTTOM
SELF-RELEASED

Portland, OR sextet Brace the Fall's debut 12-track affair takes cues from a few different areas, as part of SEE YOU AT THE BOTTOM carefully follows the metallic motif laid out by bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu while dashes of the melodic volatility utilized by bands like Rise Against and Strung Out comes through on other parts. Tracks like "Wasted Daylight" and "Electric Sheep" provide the perfect blend of mid-tempo alt metal malaise while "Unconscious" showcases the act's modern rock side a la 10 Years and Hurt. These guys also dabble with atmospheric ambient effects and electronic nuances ("Womb"), furthering their varied approach. Armed with a singer whose not afraid to display his solid chops and backed by a durable bunch of musicians who have the ability to both take it down a notch ("The Last") or kick into high gear ("F.O.X."), if you've got a ticket to this year's Taste of Chaos tour, Brace the Fall will appeal to you.

Bio

Dating back to summer '03, Brace the Fall (known at the time as Apollo) started out as just a weekend side project from the day to day minimum wage life, with founding members Jeff Stone, Cameron Duskin, Ryan Ramey, and Brian Schmidt (Schmidty). The band got off to a quick start, releasing a five song EP out of their own pocket. A few months later Stone's younger brother Derek Alford was invited to jam, and a week after that Richard Omier became the bass player. With two brand new members and a second wave of inspiration, Brace the Fall immediatly began working on new material, and are always thinking up new and fresh ideas. Brace The Fall was a familiar sight at local band competitions from KUFO to Outlaw's. BTF was voted "BEST BAND" in the Regional Finals for the Emergenza International Band Competition, beating out 139 other local bands for the honored award. Brace the Fall is on a new path musically and hope to hit the minds and hearts of everyone possible.
Influences include : Atreyu, Strung out, Tool, Rise Against, Linkin Park, and many more...
