Bio
The first thing you'll notice upon meeting Brad Alan Dennison is the 'four forty' tattooed across the front of his neck. 440 is the standard instrument tuning for musicians playing western music. It is also known as 'concert pitch' and for Brad, it is also a lifestyle. "You gotta be in tune!", he'll tell you.
Brad Alan Dennison talks like a thinker. He walks like a cowboy. He sings his life. He plays guitar like a lover AND a fighter.
Brads musical influences are vast. "My dad introduced me to Booker T & the MGs, Nilsson, the Beatles, the 1812 Overture, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and Bob Dylan. Then my older sister hit me with Prince...it was on! My favorite modern lyricists/vocalists are Glen Hansard (the Frames) and Nathan Willett (Cold War Kids)."
A typical Brad Alan performance includes original songs with themes ranging from Wyatt Earp and wasted years to faith, Vegas, and funky bodegas.
