Bio
After 12 years of nearly full time rock climbing, this Nashville, Tennessee native decided he better get back to his roots and pick up his guitar in earnest. A failed romance, an abrupt end to graduate school, and a new direction for life landed Brad on a beach in the Caribbean, where else. During a six month stay on St. Thomas Brad discovered that his creative passions found a perfect outlet in songwriting and musical composition. Influenced by both traditional and modern sounds Brad feels equally at home flatpicking an old fiddle tune, playing a banjo breakdown or fingerpicking an original composition. Brad’s first collection of original guitar compositions have been featured on NBC’s World of Adventure Sports as well as in climbing filmmaker Josh Lowell’s Dosage series of videos.
Brad’s bluegrass guitar style has recently earned him a Second Place finish at the Wenatchee River Flatpicking contest. Brad can also often be heard playing guitar and banjo around town with Seattle Bluegrass mainstays Dysfunction Junction. Sample some of Brad's guitar and banjo playing.
