Bio

I started playing Bass guitar when I was 13. My best friend already was playing guitar and told me to learn bass so we could start a band. I bought a bass guitar and amp with all the money I had. Two months later we hated each other, and I was left playing bass alone. I said, forget this I'm not just gonna play this bass by myself forever. I bought a guitar instead, of course learning to sing and play drums came later on in high school. After learning a few bass lines from my favorite songs I started messing around and writing some guitar riffs and eventually some full songs within just a few months of starting guitar. I had no idea that later on in my life writing my own music would be my primary focus as a musician! When I started playing guitar I was influenced by Stone Temple Pilots primarily. Today I would say that my original music can't really be nailed down to a specific genre and I don't really sound like anybody else (I hope you agree when you hear my music since creativity is extremely important to me). I have had people tell me my voice sounds like Billie Joe from Green Day. I really have never had anyone tell me that my songs sound similar to another artist (which makes me happy). But, of course, I am inspired by other musicians- Kate Miller-Heidke (I think she is from Australia, she is an AMAZING song writer), Mae, 311, and Wyclef Jean. I have been in bands and on my own throughout my life as a musician, but here are the names of bands and musicians I am proud to say I have played and wrote music with.....
