Biography

With a craftsman’s mentality, Brad McConnell writes compelling songs about love, loss, faith, and failure. This singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN uses his love for great art and independent thought to comprise the core of his music. “My music is about the every day struggle, the failures and the successes, the truth about life,” says Brad.

Brad started playing guitar at age 14 one weekend when he was grounded for throwing water balloons at on-coming traffic, and it soon became an obsession. Now his love for guitar has expanded to include the banjo and even piano. His live performance features several instruments, as well as the occasional kazoo or harmonica. With popular cover songs in his repertoire like The Cars “Just What I Needed” and Coldplay’s “In My Place,” Brad knows how to keep an audience interested.

Brad’s music has been recognized nationally as a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. He has also performed at clubs and coffee shops across the Southeast including Workplay in Birmingham, AL.
