Bio

Have you ever had a feeling or an experience that you don't know how to describe to someone else? Have you ever listened to a song that nails that thought or emotion right on the head?
The music industry is saturated with artists hoping to be the "next big thing." Even the Christian music industry is plagued by this commercialism. So what sets one artist apart from another? Their message. Brad describes it this way: "Music to me is not something predetermined or prescribed. It is a release and a reaction to life's ups and downs, just in musical form." And it is his ability to sculpt words and melody from thoughts and emotions that ties him in so well with his audience. "If you are real with people, they tend to really listen and respond, but if you give them cookie-cutter music, they will pass you up as soon as they find something better."

It is Brad's goal to not only entertain, but also to challenge. "Life is a challenge and life is also entertaining," Brad says "Both the good and the bad make us who we are." As a Christian artist, Brad hopes to not only sing about the character of God, but also the realities of life. "Let's get real," Brad jokes "We have all broken up or fallen in love before, so why not talk about it. Living life as a Christian is no different, no less real, as long as we always remember where the source of our hope comes from."

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Brad now resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated in music from Belmont University. Brad went to Belmont to expand and challenge his vocal, writing, and performing abilities. Having had experience leading worship, singing in various vocal ensembles, and also as a soloist, he now concentrates mostly on songwriting and learning to play the guitar better. Stylistically influenced by artists such as Steven Curtis Chapman, John Mayer, Nichole Nordeman, and Bebo Norman, Brad describes his writing as a blend of these styles interwoven with his own creativity through words based on life experiences. He is currently working on a demo of his original work and hopes to eventually perform as a label artist.
