Acoustic-Pop that takes God out of the box!

Biography

The music of Brad Reynolds has been described as "acoustic-pop that takes God out of the box". Influenced by the likes of Bebo Norman, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Wes King, Brad's musical offering is a fresh mixture of thought provoking lyrics and commercially friendly melodies that offer the listener a message of hope and encouragement through Jesus Christ. In addition to recently releasing his debut independent project "In the Real World", 2007 is the 2nd straight year that Brad has been voted as a top 5 finalist for the Christian Indie Alliance's Acoustic Artist of the Year. Lyrics

Anyway

Written By: Brad Reynolds

He’s been sleeping on the sidewalk since the money went away can you love him anyway, really love him anyway he lost his mind but finds the time, to bum a dollar everyday but my Jesus says to love him anyway
(Chorus) ‘Cause love’s the only evidence against us
That tells the world we’re guilty of a change and there is not a one who lives among us who wasn’t lost somewhere along the way but judgment turned to mercy, and mercy took our blame when it all comes down to loving anyway she did not want to be a mother; she still supports her right to choose can you love her anyway, really love her anyway when she hates what you believe and proudly shares her point of view my Jesus says to love her anyway (Chorus) (Bridge) So open up your heart and let them see how it feels, and what it really means, when…(Chorus #2) Love’s the only evidence against us that tells the world we’re guilty of a change
And there is not a soul that lives among us that wasn’t lost somewhere along the way but judgment turned to mercy, and mercy took our blame when it all comes down to loving anyway (Tag) so drop that stone of condescension, and don’t forget to mention that Jesus chose to love us anyway, excuse me Mr. Christian
I sure hope you were listening, when Jesus said to love them anyway ‘cause no matter who we are where we’ve been or how deep our scars Jesus came to love us anyway hey there Sister Christian, I sure hope you were listening when Jesus said to love them anyway

In The Real World

Written By: Brad Reynolds/Drew Horton

Sometimes I live this life inside my head, where it's so different from how it really is yeah the sun is always shining; the one's I've lost are safe in my arms again
It's a perfect world, where love is not a game
Everyone knows Jesus, and nobody is to blame
’Cause we all turn from our temptations and get it right, every single day but it's really not that way (Chorus) When the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak
I fall down and look up to you and there I see your grace, cover me I take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back, it seems the harder I try the more I lack but your grace, still covers me and it's all because of you that I live free, in the real world so it's another day, of learning how to die but sometimes it's not so easy, to put myself aside And it's a struggle to be faithful and get it right, on any given day but you love me just the same (repeat Chorus) (Bridge) In the real world, where Im nothing without you, you come and take my sin and shame and you rescue me (Repeat Chorus 2x) (Tag)

Locksmith

Written By: Brad Reynolds

They say he made a living, with a hammer and some wood and he served a greater purpose, but that carpenter was good well I have another story, written on the pages of my soul I think Jesus was a locksmith and here's why I say it's so (Chorus) he made for me a key, shaped like a cross he set me free releasing all the weight and chains and pain I said he made for me a key, shaped like a cross he set me free releasing all the weight and chains and pain that sin comes with
He is my locksmith, yeah Jesus is my locksmith
He's a father to the orphan, and a shelter from the storm
He's been called the great physician, and the risen Lord
He's everything to everybody, maker of the land and of the sea but I know his best creation, was when he made that special key (Chorus) (Bridge) Prince of peace, son of man, lamb of God and holy one he's the Alpha and Omega, master of all trades and jack of none he's everything to everybody, maker of the land and of the sea but I know his best creation, was when he made that special key (Chorus) (Tag)
