Brady O'Keefe

Surpassing the traditional role of a singer/songwriter has always been the foundation of this musical endeavor. Years of experimentation, perseverance and adolescent sentiment have gradually shaped my sound. At 21, originality has noticeably begun to blossom in my work, contributing a fresh take on indie-folk to the newest generation of the genre. This music may be contemplative and melancholy at times, but also boisterous and full of youth a moment later. 

My performances (both solo and band-supported) aim to feature dynamic energy levels to keep an audience engrossed from the opening song until the last. My friends & I have had a great time playing around New York City, meeting new people, and sharing the stage with some inspiring acts. We love nothing more than spending an evening with new listeners and doing our best to give a one-of-a-kind experience that transcends the separation of artist and audience.

I now feature a live band to bring new life to my work through their uses of experimental technology as well as traditional Peruvian kalimbas, shakers, flutes and an ever-expanding array of new elements. We focus on showcasing our disciplined musicianship in a charismatic way, and never shy away from improvisation and risk-taking on stage.
