Founded upon the philosophy of brotherhood and the desire to remain unbranded, Branded X has brought together many styles of music to create its very own unique style that cannot be classified. From blues to rock to funk to metal influences Branded X has created a style that is unlike anything heard before citing influences that range from “Red Hot Chili Peppers” to “System of a Down” to “The Doors”. With the melodic groovy riffs, Branded X keeps the energy high every show and never relents, pouring every ounce of energy out on stage keeping the crowd constantly energized.
Branded X was starting by Brandon Morris and Daniel Kelly in 2005. After a revolving door of other musicians Vaiden Jones stepped onto the scene in 2010, with his soulful funk blend of rock and blues, quickly became the cornerstone for what Branded X is today. With this solidity Branded X starting putting their name out there and getting recognition. November of 2011, after the painful firing of a brother Dustin Gorman, Eric Hilgendorf stepped in on drums. Within 4 months Branded X was back on stage and rocking harder than ever.
This new mesh of musicians brought together a powerful blend of music from very different backgrounds. From the belting lyrics of Brandon Morris that personify the funk rock feel good that is Branded X, to the intricately composed technical melodic riffs of Daniel Kelly, Branded X has a style so unique it cannot be classified under today’s genres. Adding Vaiden Jone’s powerful and soulful blend of bass that can only be rivaled by such artists as Cliff Burton and Victor Wooten, coupled together with the technical metal style of drumming that Eric Hilghendorf brings, Branded X has created a very unique blend that has been tempered in the fires of frustration, blood, sweat and tears and the will to never give up. Thru this dedication Branded X has created sounds so powerful you can’t help but lose yourself in the music.
