There are times when each generation’s voice must be heard. The voices of this generation are crying out to God; a generation who is radical for God and called according to his purpose. Brandon Avery Smith is a gospel artist that encompasses the spirit of this generation. His style can be classified as KINGDOM TONES., “music from the heart that reaching the throne and builds the kingdom of God”...the bible says...if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. His goal is to draw the nations to the kingdom of God.
Born in Hahn, East Germany, Brandon Avery Smith, affectionately known as BAS, is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and current resident of Chicago, IL. He is a dynamic young man who is on-fire for God and anointed to do His work. During his time with the Stellar Award Nominee group, Joshua’s Troop, under the direction of Percy & Jerald Gray, his passion for music and production was cultivated. BAS has a God-given mission which is to reach the nations through the ministry of music. He is not just a singer, but a producer, songwriter and arranger. Fueled by his passion to make music for God’s people, BAS founded an upcoming ministry, Under Thee Influence, which is a part of a swiftly growing indie label, Salohcin Media Group (SMG) where he serves a Vice President. He also works as the Artist Coordinator for Bold Right Life's Chicago chapter which is headed by Stellar & Dove award winning artist Kierra Sheard.
BAS has been blessed to have shared the stage and/or open up for some of the music industries top recording artists, such as Donald Lawrence, the Soul Children of Chicago, Fred Hammond, Mali Music, Jessica Reedy, Tye Tribbett, Tina Campbell of Mary Mary, Vickie Winans, Deitrick Haddon, Mali Music, Smokie Norful, Melonie Daniels, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, and world renowned/nine time Grammy award winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis.
This highly anticipated new male artists’ self-titled debut CD project is scheduled to be released Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 featuring the spirit filled hit singles "We're Not Defeated” and “So Good”
