Biography

Brandon Beauchesne (Bo shane) was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington and he started to gain an interest in music very early in life. Brandon's father helped him with his first steps into music by teaching him how to play the drums at the age of 6. At age 8 Brandon had fallen in love with the sounds of the electric guitar. In 1994 Brandon received his first guitar, opening a whole new world for the young musician.

Brandon performed in several talent shows throughout his school career. This gave Brandon a taste of what it was like to be the center of a crowd; he completely ate it up.

From 2000 to 2005 Brandon Beauchesne fronted the Tacoma based hard rock band named "The Envy". With constant lineup changes, and a shortage of drummers, the three founding members eventually decided to part ways and focus on other projects.

For the past three years Brandon has been hard at work writing and recording all new, all original solo tracks under a genre he defines as "Groove Pop". His sound blossoms from a variety of different musical art forms but still focuses on one driving groove.

"I want to write music that the kids twenty years from now are still going to be able nod their heads to," Brandon previously stated.

Brandon has come a long way since the early days of his first guitar and set of drums. Since then he has become obsessed with the digital side of the spectrum. While still using the organic rock and roll sounds of guitars, drums, and bass, he has developed a knack for manipulating synths, drum machines, and effects processors to create a unique blend of audio.

Early in 2008, Brandon began pooling together the material he had written throughout previous years, assembled his live band, The Manifesto, and began recording his first full length album.

With little more than a garage full of equipment, a vision, and the support of friends and family, the artist set out on his endeavor. Brandon's ambition and talent proved to be the spring board he needed in order to complete his album. "The Great American Love Story" finally made it's way to the streets of Washington on Halloween of 2008.

Since then, Brandon has begun an aggressive pursuit to spread his music to as many people and venues as possible; currently the artist is focusing on his live performances and has began to break the scene in both the Tacoma and Seattle area.

In Out In Out

Written By: Brandon Beauchesne

In Out, In Out,
Girl I'll bring you up down, up down,
ooh, don't give me no help, no help,
I'll give you plenty of hard time,

It was just a crush baby crush,
You're nothing more than that you wish,
I couldn't fall in love too fast,
That's not how it runs, That's not how it runs,
It was just a one day, one day,
Knew her name on Sunday, Sunday,
She gives it to me many ways, many ways,
I give her plenty of hard times

In Out, In Out,
Girl I'll bring you up down, up down,
ooh, don't give me no help, no help,
I'll give you plenty of hard time,

Face in the bed, The sunrise in her hips,
The moon is on her back, My mouth is on her lips,
I can't speak, Legs get weak,
I'll get her finished in no time,
And once it's done there will be no need for goodbye,
I just want you to close your eyes,
Fall asleep girl I'll be gone before the night,

In Out, In Out,
Girl I'll bring you up down, up down,
ooh, don't give me no help, no help,
I'll give you plenty of hard time.

We Keep Secrets In Our Hair

Written By: Brandon Beauchesne

Stares at himself cos' he thinks he's on TV,
Lost all his friends cos' he's done some shadier things,
Now they move on and they're left with broken dreams,
Been so long since I put myself to sleep,
these crazy nights left me on,

Spend all my evenings wonderin' where our good times went,
Hotel in the city playing games 'till 3 a.m.
Think I'll finally give up now I know I'll never win,
We're still young find it yourselves there's nowhere else to hide scared now,

We'll be better off alone,
We know we're better off alone,
We'll be better on our own,
We know we're better off alone,
We pretend like we don't care,
We keep our secrets in our hair,
We'll be better off unknown,
We know we're better off,

Hello are you still there can you feel me on the line?
Waiting on you,
We just play dead 'till we die,
We're crazy now, say goodbye,

We'll be better off alone,
We know we're better off alone,
We'll be better on our own,
We know we're better off alone,
We pretend like we don't care,
We keep our secrets in our hair,
We'll be better off unknown,
We know we're better off,

Now I apologize for breaking those hearts,
We know we're better off,
A love so strong should never be ripped apart,
We know we're better off,
We pretend like we don't care,
We keep our secrets in our hair,
We'd be better off unknown,
We know we're better off dead.

Put The Gun Down Baby

Written By: Brandon Beauchesne

Well she split my lip said my mouth was quick,
Looks like I'm sleeping alone again,
Both my arms are sore I've got wounds galore,
When will all of this punishment end?
There's just too many needs,
and where I used to have tears it just bleeds,
When will I be dead?
I wait for burning steel in my head,

Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me,
She says, "I can't do it honey, nothing is free."
Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me,

She calls me silly when I tell her a joke in bed,
It makes her crazy when I'm just getting things off of my chest,
She says, "Oh honey, why don't you just go to sleep?"
And I reply, "I can't do that darlin' cos' you'll just point your gun at me."

Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me,
She says, "I can't do it honey, nothing is free."
Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me,

I'll wait for the right temperature,
I'll hide cos' I don't want the sun to shine again,
Don't want the sun to shine again,
I'll wait for blue I'll wait for black,
I'll wait for knives inside my back,
There will still be love for you,

She calls me a blind boy,
That's what everyone thinks,
She calls me a blind boy,
I think that I should agree,

Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me,
She says, "I can't do it honey, nothing is free."
Put the gun down baby, put your arms around me.

Curses!

Written By: Brandon Beauchesne

Well we tried yes we tried so hard,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,
And we give, we give away more than we took,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,

Put me to sleep I find my mind in a dream,
My hands they shake when you're there,
I feel you faking a stare,
I feel I'm stuck in the wall,
I feel I can't feel at all,
This hex is breaking my voice,
Can't hear my lips making noise,

Curses!

Well we tried yes we tried so hard,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,
And we give, we give away more than we took,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,

Took 21 years just to find my faults,
Took 31 days till I got caught,
I got 15 minutes to make it fall apart,
It only took us 10 seconds just to break these hearts,
There's still time for great big things,
Still can't wait to buy my dreams,
all my love,
all my flings,
all these drugs,
all these things,

I'll try, try so hard,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,
And we give, we give away more than we took,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,

Curses!

Well we tried yes we tried so hard,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us,
And we give, we give away more than we took,
But it doesn't matter cos' it got the best of us.
