Singer/Songwriter Brandon Lepere has written music with many artists including Grammy award winner Bill Champlin and has performed over 800 shows since 2001. A New England native, influenced by Hank Williams, Keith Urban and Tom Petty, Brandon Lepere, carries a deep love for traditional Country music and has created his own brand of “New Country”.
Today, after having become a fixture on the Boston Music Scene, opening for many national artists including Eddie Money, Hootie And The Blowfish, and The Wailers, he has now come full circle as a songwriter and performer.
Recently, the title track of Brandon’s latest independent release “SHE DRIVES ME COUNTRY” has secured a place as a finalist (so far) in the Country category in the ongoing (ISC) International Songwriting Competition for 2007.

Bio

In 1995 a teenager named Brandon Lepere from New Hampshire brought home the National Country Music Association’s Junior Male Vocalist of the Year award. However, shortly after his winning performance in Las Vegas that year, Brandon took himself off Nashville’s radar.

Brandon, while grateful for the early success, decided to stay rooted in Northern New England to explore other types of music till he found a style that suited him. Still influenced by many country music legends such as The Eagles, Waylon Jennings, and John Denver, he found himself writing and performing in various genres and enjoying the experience. He contrasted and enhanced his early experiences with songwriting by listening to and learning from contemporary jazz artists like the Yellowjackets, Steely Dan and many Motown, rock, and folk artists including Marvin Gay, Radiohead, and Tracy Chapman. During this time he recorded and cataloged more than 100 compositions.

Now a seasoned performer, Brandon has performed more than 700 live shows since 2001 and opened for numerous national acts including Eddie Money, The Wailers, Hootie and the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, The Fools, and James Montgomery, performed showcases at Berklee College of Music, has released two CDs, and is a recurring highlight on Boston’s music scene.

Producers, writers and publishers on both sides of the Atlantic have courted Brandon. He has worked with and collaborated with many artists including Grammy award winning songwriter Bill Champlin, platinum selling producer Anthony J Resta, songwriter and producer Marty Walsh, recording artist/producer Craig Bartock, Brandon has performed and recorded with members of both the Jason Aldean band and legendary steel guitarist Gary Morris. His diligence and tireless musical performances have gained attention in The Boston Globe, The Portsmouth Herald, The Improper Bostonian. Brandon has also been a feature on Cambridge television and performed live on select radio programs throughout New England.

Early in 2008 Brandon was featured on the CMT's newest weekly program Billy Block's Western Beat, and his music was broadcast on Nashville’s 1 country station 103 WKDF. Brandon’s has received an honorable mention in the Country category of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) in 2007 for his song “She Drives Me Country”. And was selected as a finalist in the Durango Songwriting competition in 2007 for his song “Highway To Yesterday”.

Today, after taking many different paths with his music, Brandon has combined those influences with the country sound that brought him early success. The result is found in “Heaven Ain’t Got Nothin’ On You," and “She Drives Me Country” the first two tracks of his debut record.

Brandon is currently performing select dates in the northeast and writing songs for his upcoming release.
