When considering the person that is Brandon Clarke Vezmar, a variety of interpretations compete for prominence. Some see him as a rising, pre-eminent voice in the songwriting environment of the day. Others see him as a tremendously emotive performer. Still others see him as a self-destructive soul and a paranoid.
The various interpretations of the songwriter and singer Brandon Clarke are necessarily based as much on Brandon’s work and actions as they are on the bias of the commentator who speaks.
Few would disagree, though, that the maelstrom of sound and movement Brandon brings to his writing, recording, and performing is enthralling.
As the popular musical climate of American tailspins yet again this year into an even deeper level of mediocrity, materialism, and superficiality Brandon Clarke is writing songs with steely resolve in his attempt to narrate the human experience with grace and accuracy. Launching his promotional apparatus just this June of 2005, it appears that Brandon has had enough of the mechanistic bands of the month. A faithful believer in the value of popular music and an ardent critic of the John Mayers, the Coldplays, and the MTV offerings of the last several years, Brandon is passionately singing a better pop song.
