Lyrics

Some nice days

Written By: Brandon West

Verse 1:
She stares back at the days
When love seemed more like make-believe
Now its all nothing but unwanted surprises
Full of hidden agendas and complex demises

She looks past the bad times
Realizes there’s nothing there to find
Just a fake smile here and there
To keep the neighbors unaware

Chorus:
She just wants some nice days
To forget the days of old
But she drinks and she drinks
Till her memories fade
and forgets that she’s alone

she cries out to the blue sky
“lord, whys this hole in my soul”
she’s lost and confused,
can’t find a way not to lose
she’s walking the line to find
Her way back home…

Verse 2:
Now she's staring out the window
Sees the tire swing from years ago
Saw the tree where she said I do
She could hear him say I love you too

As she stares up at the ceiling
Wondering if love is just a feeling
She looks back at what she has become
Asking will this ever be undone

((Chorus))

Bridge:
She never has her special smile
It flew away at least a hundred miles
She cries out for understanding
Why her life’s become so damn demanding

((Chorus))

Hillbilly Senorita

Written By: Brandon West

Verse 1:
The first time I met her
She wearing ripped jeans and cowboy boots
She had the cutest smile
And baby, I had nothing to lose

Now it’s 2 years later
Making vacation plans
They say the best place to party
Is down south with the Mexicans

We hadn’t been in the hotel
For more than 15 minutes
She grabbed a bottle of José
And 2 glasses to go with it

She running her fingers through her hair
And shaking her hips like she was ringing a bell
Heading out to the dance floor
Hear the local boys yell….

CHORUS:
She’s hotter than a red jalapeño
And cooler than a frozen, strawberry margarita
To you she’s the girl who likes beer and can hold her tequila
But from this day forward she’ll be
My hillbilly senorita

Verse 2:
She moved to the city
She’s still a country girl at heart
Got a brand new designer purse
And a cute little yellow car

She’s got a real nice job
Working down at the local bank
Wearing fancy dresses
Always caring what everybody else thinks

But a few drinks later
She’s back to callin’ everybody y’all
Telling stories of her hometown
And the Wal-mart mall

But down here across the border
She’s like somebody else
Like a dancing goddess
From the local tall tales…

CHORUS:
She’s hotter than a red jalapeño
And cooler than a frozen, strawberry margarita
To you she’s the girl who likes beer and can hold her tequila
But from this day forward she’ll be
My hillbilly senorita

Bridge:
When the sun goes down
She’ll take a beer and a shot of whiskey
I don’t care what anybody else says
That’s what I call sexy

She’ll go streak in the ocean
And hope the moon doesn’t blow her cover
With a spirit like that
You can’t help but love her

CHORUS:
She’s hotter than a red jalapeño
And cooler than a frozen, strawberry margarita
To you she’s the girl who likes beer and can hold her tequila
But from this day forward she’ll be
My hillbilly senorita

Dear Beautiful

Written By: Brandon West

VERSE 1:
WELL THE TEACHER ASSIGNED
ALL OF US TO WRITE
A LETTER TO ANYONE IN THE WORLD
I ONLY HAD ONE THING ON MY MIND
SHE WAS PRETTY AS A SUNRISE
WITH LONG HAIR, WEARING HER MOMMA’S PEARLS
SO I WAITED AROUND TILL THE END OF THE DAY
AND WATCHED HER READ THE WORDS I WAS TOO SCARED TO SAY

CHORUS:
DEAR BEAUTIFUL,
YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY
YOU’RE THE FIRST THING THAT I THINK ABOUT
THE BEST PART OF MY DAY
DEAR WONDERFUL
YOU’LL NEVER HAVE TO BE ALONE
CAUSE WITHOUT YOU HERE
I KNOW I CAN’T GO ON
DEAR BEAUTIFUL
DEAR BEAUTIFUL

VERSE 2:
I WAS PLANNING THE PERFECT EVENING
FLOWERS, CHOCOLATE, AND CHAMPAGNE
COOKED HER FAVORITE DINNER, TURNED ON THE RADIO
DIMMED THE LIGHTS DOWN IN THE ROOM
LIT SOME CANDLES TO SET THE MOOD
ANY MINUTE NOW SHE’D BE COMING HOME
LOOKING BACK AT THE LETTER I WROTE THAT DAY
I’LL NEVER FORGET THE WAY SHE SMILED AT ME

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE:
SHE WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR
BEFORE SHE COULD SAY A THING
I TOOK HER HAND AND KNELT DOWN ON ONE KNEE
AND PULLED OUT A DIAMOND RING

REPEAT CHORUS
