After initially competing against each other in a songwriting competition (finishing first and second), Dani Harness and Eric Clemens found that their musical styles fit together quite well. So they joined forces and formed what was originally an acoustic folk duo.
The two started off by playing open mics and coffee shop gigs, and within less than a year had progressed to music venues, as well as a couple notable Columbus festivals (including Comfest). Then, in late 2014 the two chose to take their music in a new exciting direction by trading the acoustic guitar for an electric one, ramping up the energy level, and bringing drums and bass into the mix.
The decision to add drummer Kenny Caterer brought with it his years of experience in the Columbus music scene as a multi-instrumentalist/singer, and as a fairly well known local sound engineer. While bassist Efrum Imler brought his knowledge of playing a multitude of styles. Ranging from Big Band Swing, heavy metal and alt rock, to marching band and concert performance.
Together, their new found sound is led by emotionally driven, powerful female vocals, and backed by dynamic, eclectic, indie rock and vocal harmonies. Yet retains subtle undertones of the original folky feel.
