"Taxi Review"

"Can't possibly be critical of something that feels as right as this does. Melody is extremely memorable (especially that great chorus hook--love the falcetto vocal harmonies in that section), structure flows beautifully from section to section, drummer and bass player are locked into an incredibly tight groove (God, they're good). No wonder it sounds as cool as it does. It seems like Braxton is developing a sound that is both highly personal and extremely marketable." - Taxi

BIOGRAPHY:

Creating an immense fanbase solely through the strength of his live shows, BRAXTON PARKER hit the studio and has released his much-anticipated debut EP. With a legion of fans behind him, Braxton has managed to independently dominate his market and headline shows all over the country. Without any management, representation or label backing him, he has already gone Coast-to-Coast, Toured with Billboard, Performed with BON JOVI, YELLOWCARD, GUSTER, 3 DAYS CRACE, PAPA ROACH, PAT MCGEE BAND, THE STARTING LINE, WHEATUS, and MANY other national artists.

The BRAXTON PARKER sound has been hard to categorize. It really depends on what song you are listening to. With Braxton tearing into his acoustic guitar on songs, and looping phrases, drum beats, and funk addled bass lines on others....Braxton creates music that is truly his own. The songs are uncompromising and commercially catchy.

With producer Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition, Alternative Routes, Red Wanting Blue, Zox) and mixing efforts from Mitch Easter (REM, Wilco, Ben Folds Five), Braxton's band recorded a 5-Song EP at Low Watt Studios in North Carolina. Although he has built a large catalog of original music that is performed at shows, he decided to test only 5 for the release.

Currently, Braxton is hitting the road in support of the new EP. Always retooling his live show, writing new songs, and promoting music to new fans across the country, BRAXTON PARKER will continue to stay true to who he his and make the music that he believes in.
