Bio
It began with a basic idea. Looking at the grand scope of the music industry, there are many things that have changed over the course of about 10 years. What hasn't changed is the competition. It's still fierce.
With that in mind, singer, producer, and veteran songwriter Toma "Maskerade" Johnson, decided that he wanted to develop his own artists and write for them. If he could develop a major act, he wouldn't have to worry so much about submitting his work to other major artists in what amounts to impossible competition.
But what genre? Well, since there weren't any super female groups that were sticking around, Maskerade decided he would try his hand at it. First to enter the group was Filipina singer and dancer Nicole. Nicole answered a dancer ad for Maskerade. Once she heard his music, she thought he might be able to help her with her music career. When Maskerade heard Nicole sing, he knew it was time to start the group.
After searching through many popular model and music sites, Maskerade happened upon Miranda Siegersma. He began an email conversation with her that went on for quite some time.
Eventually Maskerade convinced Miranda to audition for the group and she's been there since.
Maskerade continued his model search and ran into the gorgeous, yet fiesty latina sensation, Sandy. There was very little resistance from Sandy as this has always been her goal in life to be a professional recording artist.
Maskerade began the group with five young ladies, but throughout the course of about four months, several girls came a went. The group constantly went back down to three, until finally Emily came along for the ride.
With the addition of Emily came an instant connection between all four girls. The attempt had been made to keep the group at five, but in the end the others did not last.
Maskerade, along with Corporate Ballin CEO Anthony Neal came to the conclusion that the right fit was already there.
Since that time, the girls of Breaking Day have been aggressively reaching out to as many new fans and performing as much as possible. The main goal is to get the word out to all. Breaking Day is her to stay!
