Breaking Even is a rock band from Cedar Rapids, Iowa known throughout the Midwest for its crazy and awesome live shows, powerful lyrics and radio friendly rock anthems. Breaking Even is starting to gain national attention, and will soon become a name familiar to music fans nationwide.


Breaking Even has assaulted the Midwest with its awesome blend of hard rock since 2000. Breaking Even started one day in the basement of John Seidl's parents house when he and drummer Dan Hopper decided to form a band after a 3-hour jam session. Since then, Breaking Even has played numerous gigs throughout the Midwest and has released 2 full length albums and one EP.
With the addition of new bassist Matt Moss, the band has recently started gaining attention throughout the United States. Breaking Even has often drawn comparisons to top national bands including: Foo Fighters, Weezer, Queens of the Stone Age, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, and Audioslave, just to name a few.
With the release of it's highly anticipated new record, "Transform," Breaking Even is quickly establishing itself as one of the Midwest's top up and coming bands. If you haven't heard of these guys yet, you will.

Set List

We write and perform our own music. We can play up to 2 hours of original music if needed. Most of our set consists of songs from our new record "Transform," which we have just released this year.
