Bio

Breaking Midway formed in September 2010 when Kelley Hannah and Jay Chagnon met. They immediately began writing and sharing music ideas, recording in a closet on their IPhones. Both come from different, yet similar schools of music and thought. Their ideas mesh bringing a new sound with every song.

Soon after Kelley and Jay started writing, a former band mate, and dear friend, Luke Radney joined in playing guitar. While Radney is not present for a majority of the song writing his character and musicianship can be heard on every track he sits in on. His hard rock, blues based guitar riffs are undoubtably his stamp on the songs while his catchy bass riffs lock him in with the bass drum bring the songs to life.

Kelley and Jay have a gift of writing both music and lyrics together. They produce and record all songs at a private studio owned by the band members. Breaking Midway has had musicians such as Ray Chagnon (Brick Township, NJ) listen and provide guitar and bass ideas for upcoming songs. He will be flying in to play bass, guitars, and organs on future tracks. Edward Hunt (Plano, TX) was kind enough to play Mandolin on Living Room based on an idea brought forth by Ray Chagnon. Various songs also feature Nichole Chagnon (Austin, TX) singing back up vocals. Jacob Camp (Plano, TX) has recently joined in on the multitude of musicians that contribute to the sounds of Breaking Midway. Jacob plays guitar and bass guitar.
