Lyrics

Time

Written By: Breanna Fye

Days have gone by.
That sixteen-hour long drive.
I have thought about a lot…
Like how I won't cry.

This was a drastic change of life.
Leaving someone you love behind…
A best friend.
A sister.
A cousin.
A twin.

More days and months have past…
And so much has come about.
Like making new friends…
But no one relates to my TWIN.

This was a drastic change of life.
Leaving someone you love behind…
A best friend.
A sister.
A cousin.
A twin.

Now it's two years.
Two years and I'm still here.
My music helps…
My music helps… helps me out.

TWO DAYS (two days)
TWO WEEKS (two weeks)
TWO MONTHS (two months)
TWO YEARS (two years)

This was a drastic change of life.
Leaving someone you love behind…
A best friend.
A sister.
A cousin.
A twin.

Days have gone by…
That sixteen hour long drive.

My Old Life

Written By: Breanna Fye & Rebecca Price

The world has flashed above me
and I only remember bits and pieces.
I feel so safe and so alone.
the bad times are gone,
but the good times have passed me by…
and I can not see what's being drawn.
I only see little pieces of art
that I create for me.
But I don't want to be
this whole thing I'm in.
Just keep me locked inside of me…
but I know that's not really what I want.
So my heart aches…
help me!

Get me out of here
Just get me out of here
Hate me, let me leave

How long…
until I breathe,
without the weight of you on top of me?
I'm so angry
and you jerk me around.
Now as my body cools down
I build my own wall around
so you won't know.
Now I don't know…

Anything about me
Won't know anything about me
Don't call me Pretty
Nothing, Nothing
Won't know me

I'm a master of disguise.
Smoke and lies!
You see my face and I don't show anything.
You think it may be aces that I'm holding.
What you gonna do when you see…

Baby it's just me
Please don't use the key
You say you'll give me anything
Nothing, nothing
I don't want it

Leave me
Let me leave
Love's not worth it

I now see…
that it's over.
I am safe… in my old life.

Why can I still not breathe
Do I need you to love me
Break these walls and see
I am broken
But I know I can be
something special

The Painting

Written By: Rebecca Price & Kenny Tarver

(1st verse)
I remember the day we agreed
between you and me…
was like a painting.
The colors took form wherever we went.
But in the shadows…
that’s where or painting begins…
in the shadows
we are complete.

(Bridge)
In the light, it was always a fight.
One of us was always screwing up.
We wondered in anger
until the sun sunk deep…
Where we could love each other
only in our dreams.

(Chorus)
But then you slipped from my night…
and I could no longer sleep.
Staying awake…
thinking about you and me.
And our painting was never again…
really complete.
But his dark kiss...
was like the water rushing through my open fingers.
And his love...
was like falling through a frozen river.
So cold…
So deep…
Taking my breath from me…
But I don't know where to be…
except with you.
When will our dreams come true?

(2nd verse)
Can't help it.
I've known you…
for what seems all my life.
You take it.
I fake it.
You know just about all of me.
You let the cruel day shine on all that is wrong with me.

(Bridge)
And you said our colors don't match.
And I was left with what's left of the past.
Now you're stretching new canvas…
And sketching your life…
And again, I'm here with what's
left of the night.

(Chorus)
But I live for the day…
no longer fearing the night.
Don't look for me in the shadows,
I'm doing alright.
One day you'll return.
And with a questioning gaze…
assesses all the damage
you've done today.
But his dark kiss...
was like the water rushing through my open fingers.
And his love...
was like falling through a frozen river.
So cold…
So deep…
Taking my breath from me…
But I don't know where to be…
except with you.
When will our dreams come true?

(Postlude)
His love was a killer.
His kiss was a loss…
But I guess all in all,
I've learned more than I've lost.

Falling

Written By: Breanna Fye & Kayleigh Bigi

(1st verse)
I'm given everything.
Everything I could ever want…
I'm offered the world on a silver platter.
If only they knew…
Knew how much
I don't want it…
They think I have it all together.
They don't know me…
Enter the smiles
The laughs…
The jokes…
Make-up and clothes...
Personality that could try to prove.

I am crying.

(Chorus)
I am so overwhelmed.
I am falling
I am so far down
Too far down
To be caught
To far to be found
I am falling
Lost in a dream
Lost in all my memories…
I am falling.

(2nd verse)
I am crying…
Crying hysterically,
Ah, the constant falling of tears.
It's too hard to bear…
and I want so much more;
so much more beyond my years.
I want joy.
I want dreams…
and goals.
I want to be looked upon…
as something different in my life.

(Chorus)
I am so overwhelmed.
I am falling
I am so far down
Too far down
To be caught
To far to be found
I am falling
Lost in a dream
Lost in all my memories…
I am falling.

(1st bridge)
Why am I so sad?
I hate this pain.
I hate that I can't do anything…
to make this pain…
Go away.
Make it go away.
Make it go away.

(Chorus)
I am so overwhelmed.
I am falling
I am so far down
Too far down
To be caught
To far to be found
I am falling
Lost in a dream
Lost in all my memories…
I am falling.

(2nd bridge)
Someone catch me before it's too late.
Before I'm gone.
Before everything, yeah...
I am falling…
I am falling.

Rain

Written By: By Rebecca Price & Kenny Tarvar

(1st verse)
So far,
I can't tell what the hell is going on.
Trying to separate the voice from what I see.
But what I see
is just another me…
who does not know it yet.
But you say this pail won't hold…
one drop of rain.
And I'm telling you that it's all the same,
and it's full of you.
I'd say it's been a heavy load.
It's so hard to turn it over and stand atop
When your rain won't stop long enough
to let me find my feet.
And baby, when it does…
That's when our eyes meet.
Oh, looking at me with those sad eyes
only gets you
my lacking brand of love.

(Chorus)
I'm so scared to watch you breathe
and I'm afraid to read your dreams.
Don't want to dig into you anymore.
My hands are up in forfeit.
And I know you won't let me quit,
cuz your victory is not a victory…
unless you defeated me.
I'd like to say…
That it's not true.
I'm not as good as you…
At… fooling… me.

(1st Bridge)
I'm sick of this feeling.
I'm wishing you'd leave.
Because my heart is hammering…
the last nail in me.
You say I'll be fine.
I'm doing better than that.
I'm just trying to…
move your ghost to the back…
of my mind.
And I'll keep trying…
til I don't even feel you…
passing through…
Anymore.

(2nd verse)
I'd say it's been a heavy load.
It's so hard to turn it over and stand atop
When your rain won't stop long enough
to let me find my feet.
I'm scared to watch you breathe…
and I'm afraid to read your dreams.
Don't want to dig into you anymore.
My hands are up in forfeit.
But I know…
you won't let me quit.
Quit...

(2nd Bridge)
So let me find my courage
And be…
Let it be.
Let me be.
Oh, Let it be.
Oh, let it be.
Let me be…
Let it be…
Let it be.

Colors

Written By: Breanna Fye

June 2006

(1st verse)
This is more than I can imagine,
'cause it is not ordinary for me.
You're making me think that it's amazing…
But I think that this picture is fake.
You could have better…
But instead you have me.
I think I'm okay…
But what in your eyes
do you see?

(Chorus)
Do you see gray…
or - do you see pink?
Do you think black…
or - is it harder to think?
When you look at me…
do you feel lucky?
Do you really love me…
or - am I just fooled?
'Cause right now I'm feeling kinda blue.

(2nd verse)
I don't believe that there is love.
I believe in making your own.
I made that for you…
And now it's very true.
One more question…
Will you be making yours soon?
It's hard to think,
when these colors are shouting at me... So I ask.
So, all these questions
you never have to answer.
But I do want you to answer one.
It's on page number two
and it's asking...
Will you make your love soon?

(Chorus)
Do you see gray…
or - do you see pink?
Do you think black…
or - is it harder to think?
When you look at me…
do you feel lucky?
Do you really love me…
or - am I just fooled?
'Cause right now I'm feeling kinda blue.
